When it comes to baptism, one thing that must be considered is whether or not infant children of Christian parents should be baptized or not. Christ Fellowship Church allows individual households to decide the matter themselves rather than exclude families or bind consciences based on this particular belief. We have families who baptize their infants because they are counted as members of the covenant people of God (paedobaptist), and we have those who choose not to, waiting until their children are able to make a personal profession of faith (credobaptist).
To baptize infants or not is certainly not a new question and there are good Christians on both sides (paedobaptist vs. credobaptist). This must not be a barrier to our unity now, as being wrong on this issue itself would certainly not keep one from Christ.
That being said, we understand the scriptures to command believing parents to baptize their children and would encourage any and all parents to do so. First, because children of believing parents are included in the covenant and church of God. And second, the redemption from sin by the blood of Christ, and the Holy Ghost, the author of faith, is promised to children no less than to adults.
